I am an HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered Art Psychotherapist and member of BAAT (British Association of Art Therapists). As well as achieving an MA in Art Psychotherapy I have undertaken extensive training in nature-based therapies. In 2012 I co-created COATS: Community Outdoor Art Therapy Service. My professional development includes working with trauma, solution-focused therapy and neurodiversity.
I currently work privately with adults and children with a range of issues including ADHD. I also provide personal therapy to trainee art therapists - many of which go on to use my supervision services. Since being in Frome, I have designed and co-facilitated wild clay art therapy workshops and individual programmes.
Prior to living in Frome, I provided indoor art therapy within primary and secondary schools and private individual outdoor art therapy to a range of clients and ages.
For two years I was an associate lecturer at Roehampton University on the Art Psychotherapy training programme. Through my private practice I continue to provide personal art therapy to trainee art therapists.
I have worked within therapeutic care homes facilitating indoor art therapy to looked-after children.
Up until 2023 I provided art therapy for a national organisation supporting young people who had experienced domestic abuse.
From 2017 to 2020 I provided outdoor art therapy on an educational farm with young people with complex emotional trauma and forensics histories. It was here that I developed my wild clay therapy. You can read more about this project in the Journal of Applied Arts in Health.
